Fifth ERMES Management Meeting

The 5th ERMES Management Meeting will be held on October 21st – 22nd, 2013 in the facilities of Alcatel-Lucent Italia in Milan, Italy.

It will gather together representatives of all the project partners to present the latest results achieved and to discuss about the next project activities

 Since March 1, 2013 the ERMES consortium has a new partner: the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland.

ETH is a top ranking international university in the fields of technology and natural science www.ethz.ch/index_EN  

 

 ETH has more than 17,000 students from whom 3700 are doctoral students. More than 400 professors give lectures and carryout research at ETH. The group of Prof. Leuthold at ETH is engaged in research and development of optical communication devices and systems. Particular areas of interest include nonlinear optics, III/V and silicon semiconductors, plasmonics and advanced modulation formats. The research group is currently also involved in the European project Fox-C.
